| David Main is the program director for AECOM's consulting practice in Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Asset Management Services, and he is the Project Manager for the National Water and Wastewater Benchmarking Initiative. David specializes in assisting utilities improve the productivity and performance of water and wastewater treatment plants through better asset management processes and advanced performance management systems. He has been involved in a wide variety of strategic management projects including: performance management systems, best practice design and implementation; design of strategic planning models; design of strategic information plans; asset management planning systems; and the development of cost allocation and utility pricing strategies to ensure financial sustainability.
Mr. Main is a recognized expert in global asset management best practices as applied to water/wastewater treatment plants. He is the Chairman of the BCWWA Infrastructure Management Committee, and serves on the Technical Committee of the IWA Specialist Group on Benchmarking and Performance Assessment. Mr. Main is a frequent technical contributor to key Asset Management events including WEFTEC, and IWA. Recently, he has assisted in the introduction of asset management and performance measurement best practices internationally.
